ESMA agrees position limits under MIFID II

On January 23, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) published six opinions on position limits regarding commodity derivatives under the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive and Regulation (MiFID II/MIFIR). 

ESMA’s opinions agree proposed position limits regarding:

•           Low Sulphur gasoil;

•           Panamax Freight;

•           Dutch TTF ICE Endex;

•           Dutch TTF Powernext;

•           Dutch Power Base; and,

•           Dutch Power Peak.
