Review of compliance with the European Communities (Payment Services) Regulations 2009
29 March 2012
The Central Bank of Ireland has today (29 March 2012) published the findings from its review of compliance by retail banks with certain conduct of business requirements of the European Communities (Payment Services) Regulations, 2009. The findings are set out in the context of the eight retail banks included in the scope of the review, however, the recommendations and clarifications provided are relevant for, and therefore addressed to, all payment service providers. It is important that all payment service providers consider the issues set out in the context of their own policies, procedures, systems and controls.
