Financial Stability Reports

In pursuing its mandate to contribute to the stability of the financial system, the Bank publishes annual reports on the current state of the systemic health of the financial system in Ireland. This involves monitoring both domestic and international financial developments and highlighting potential areas of concern relevant to the Irish financial system. In assessing the risks to financial stability in Ireland, a combination of both micro-prudential indicators relating to individual banks and macro-prudential indicators relating to the overall economy are analysed. Given the openness of the Irish economy, the Irish financial system is potentially exposed to contagion from a large range of shocks arising in the international environment, rendering it necessary to assess developments in the external environment and how they pertain to Irish financial stability.

Financial Stability Reports are available for the following years: 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
