Introduction to European Long-Term Investment Funds (‘ELTIFs’)

ELTIF is a pan-European regime for alternative investment funds (AIFs) which channel the capital they raise towards European long-term investments in the real
economy, in line with the European Union (EU) objective of smart, sustainable and inclusive growth.

The Central Bank is the competent authority in Ireland with responsibility for the authorisation of ELTIFs under the European Union (European long-term investment funds) Regulations 2015.

In order to apply for authorisation as an ELTIF, please complete the application form below and related schedules, as relevant.

Applications should be submitted in hard copy to the Funds Authorisation Unit within the Funds Supervision Division, Central Bank of Ireland.
