Silver Proof €15 Three-Coin Set

In 1928, a new Irish coinage was introduced. The eight new denominations featured a wonderful series of animal designs reflecting Ireland’s agriculture-based economy.  The elegant designs were the work of Percy Metcalfe and they have been revered by collectors ever since.

Three of the animals that featured on the original 1928 coins (horse, salmon and wolfhound) were issued individually during 2010, 2011 and 2012 as part of the “New Generation” by Emmet Mullins. They have now been combined for a limited issue Three-Coin Set with a strict issue limit of just 1,000. The coins are taken from their original issue limits - no additional coins have been struck for inclusion in this set.

The Three Coin Set will be available initially at The Irish International Coin Fair, RDS, Dublin, 17 - 19 October 2014 and thereafter, if stocks allow, the set will be available via phone and mail order.
