ESMA responds to European Commission consultation on revision of NFRD

On 11 June 2020, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the EU’s securities markets regulator, submitted a
response to the European Commission’s (EC) consultation on a revision of the Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD). The response recommends standardising disclosure requirements, widening the range of companies required to report and ensuring consistency between legislative initiatives on sustainable finance.
