On 16 November 2016, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) published its response to the European Commission’s consultation on a potential EU personal pension framework as part of ESMA’s ongoing work in relation to the Capital Markets Union initiative.
ESMA comments on a number of topics covered by the consultation: product characteristics of a possible EU personal pension product, information to policyholders and distribution rules.
