Ellie Comiskey at our Dockland Campus

Be Different. Make a Difference.

Our Scholarship Programme, in partnership with Griffith College, is designed to identify and nurture talent and to support motivated individuals to start a career while pursuing further education.

We are looking for people from all backgrounds who are passionate, energetic and driven to achieve their career goals.

We will provide an environment where you can:

  • Undertake a fully funded part-time honours degree
  • Grow your career while helping to influence and shape the best outcomes for the public good
  • Gain experience and invest in your future.

"The Scholarship Programme has given me the confidence to take the next step in my career journey. I think it is an excellent opportunity for individuals to get on the career ladder at the Central Bank while pursuing further education" - Ellie Comiskey

Our Scholarship Programme

We are offering successful applicants a four-year employment contract and, in partnership with Griffith College, a place on one of these three-year part-time degree courses:

Part-time students at Griffith College study the same course as the full-time students and  take the same exams each year. The difference with part-time courses is that they are taught in a more condensed manner as you have less class time. You will receive more detailed lecture notes and you will be expected to complete more independent study. You will have a Griffith College mentor for the duration of your study if you need extra help.

Generally, the part-time degree course requires a commitment of two evenings per week in year one, three evenings in year two and up to four evenings in year three. There can be slight differences to this schedule, depending on the course you choose.

Starting in October 2022, successful applicants to our Scholarship Programme will work full-time at Central Bank of Ireland while completing their studies part-time at Griffith College. You will be placed in suitable roles across a range of business areas and you will work on projects that contribute to the financial stability of the economy and the protection of consumers.

"The Central Bank put funding and trust into us young scholars throughout the programme and now that I have finished my degree, I can give back to the organisation with hard work and dedication" - Jack Osborne
