PRIIPs KID 

PRIIPs Key Investor Document (PRIIPs KID) for UCITS

  • Where a UCITS produces a PRIIPs KID instead of a UCITS KIID, the responsible person of the UCITS shall submit the PRIIPs KID.This will meet the obligations under the UCITS Regulations (S.I. No. 352/2011) and Central Bank UCITS Regulations in relation to UCITS KIIDs.

PRIIPs Filing Requirements

  • Where a UCITS produces a PRIIPs KID instead of a UCITS KIID, a PRIIPs KID should be submitted to the Central Bank:

       i.    prior to the authorisation of each UCITS; and

       ii.   prior to the approval of a new sub-fund of an umbrella UCITS.

  •  A PRIIPs KID and the confirmation from the responsible person or its legal advisor will form part of authorisation documents.

        The confirmation must:

        (a)  be signed by the responsible person or its legal advisor;

        (b)  confirm the PRIIPs KID complies in full with the requirements of;

               I)   PRIIPs Regulation (EU) No. 1286/2014

               II   Delegated PRIIPs Regulation (EU) 2021/2268

        (c)  confirm the PRIIPs KID does not conflict with the content of the prospectus.

  • Where a new Umbrella UCITS is submitted, the confirmation and PRIIPS KID should be submitted via email to [email protected] and the relevant Central Bank reviewer.Where a new sub-fund of an Umbrella UCITS is submitted via ORION, the confirmation and PRIIPs KID should be submitted via ORION also.
  • In the case of existing UCITS, a new PRIIPs KID or an amended PRIIPs KID and the confirmation  from the responsible person or its legal advisor should be submitted via Portal using the "UCITS KID Update" Request Changes.
  • The Central Bank’s guidance on “Regulatory Reporting Requirements of Irish Authorised Investment Funds” requires annual updates to the UCITS KIID to be submitted via the ONR. Where a PRIIPS KID is produced instead of the UCITS KIID, the PRIIPS KID should be submitted as part of the annual reporting exercise.Where a UCITS produces both a PRIIPs KID and a UCITS KIID, only the UCITS KIID should be provided.
