Description

This consultation paper highlights the importance of pre-emptive recovery planning for (re)insurers. The Central Bank of Ireland is publishing this consultation paper to consult on proposals to introduce formal recovery planning requirements for (re)insurers under Section 48[1] of the Central Bank (Supervision and Enforcement) Act 2013.

The objective of the consultation is to get general feedback on the proposed Regulations and the Guidelines from interested stakeholders, including Firms, representative bodies, industry consultancies and service providers. In particular, feedback is sought on: what other areas should be covered in the Guidelines or in future potential guidance and whether there are any areas where the application of proportionality can be improved or clarified.
