ESMA Guidelines on Market Data applicable from 01 January 2022

On 18 August 2021, ESMA published its Guidelines on MiFID II / MiFIR obligations on market data. These relate to the requirements to publish market data on a reasonable commercial basis and to make market data available free of charge 15 minutes after publication.

These Guidelines are applicable from 01 January 2022 and will be applied by the Central Bank through incorporation of their contents into the Central Bank’s supervisory review practices.
