On 11 October 2016, ESMA published a Q&A relating to the provision of CFDs and other speculative products to retail investors under MiFID. The purpose of this document is to promote common supervisory approaches and practices in the application of MiFID and its implementing measures to certain key aspects that are relevant when CFDs and other speculative products are marketed and sold to retail clients.
