  • Sharon Donnery, Deputy Governor, Central Banking, Central Bank of Ireland
  • Brad Setser, Senior Fellow, Council on Foreign Relations

Agenda

Following a wave of globalisation during the mid-2000s, the global financial crisis and European sovereign debt crisis highlighted how shocks can be transmitted internationally because of tighter global financial linkages. Greater understanding of the determinants of financial globalisation is therefore important for policymakers and researchers to mitigate risks to the global financial system, and safeguard domestic macroeconomic and financial conditions.
