The aim of the ECB’s Strategy Review is to make sure our monetary policy strategy is fit for purpose, both today and in the future.

The strategy review covers all aspects of our monetary policy, within the framework of our mandate which is to maintain price stability. The review will be based on thorough analysis and take an open-minded approach.

As part of the strategy review, the ECB would like to hear opinions from across Europe.

On Thursday, 18 February, the Central Bank of Ireland will host two listening events to discuss the ECB’s Strategy Review.

Hosted by Governor Makhlouf, these virtual listening events will gather perspectives from civil society and business representatives about questions such as:

  • What does price stability mean for you? How do changes in general price levels affect you and the people you represent?
  • What economic concerns are you facing?
  • What other topics relating to the work of the ECB matter to you?
  • How can the ECB and other national central banks communicate better with you?

Attendance is by invitation. To find out more about the ECB Strategy Review and the Central Bank of Ireland’s listening events please email [email protected]
