| Additional information | This scam firm cloned the name and details of an entity authorised by the Central Bank and has been seeking to pass itself off as the legitimate firm, Standard Life International Designated Activity Company, in order to deceive consumers. It should be noted there is no connection whatsoever between the legitimate Central Bank authorised firm and this fraudulent entity. The product offered by the fraudulent entity was a ‘Fixed Term Deposit’, a product not issued by Barclays Bank Ireland plc. |
