10th Annual Macroprudential Conference

When 22 June 2026 9:00 AM
Where Central Bank of Ireland, North Wall Quay, Dublin 1

Central Bank of Ireland is pleased to announce the 10th annual Macroprudential Conference, organised jointly with the Sveriges Riksbank, De Nederlandsche Bank, and the Deutsche Bundesbank, which will take place in our Dockland Campus on 22 & 23 June 2026.

The conference provides an excellent opportunity for policy makers, representatives of the private sector and prominent academics from around the world to gather to discuss, exchange experiences and learn from global experts in the macroprudential field. Previous conferences in the series were hosted by the Sveriges Riksbank (2015, 2016, 2018, 2023), De Nederlandsche Bank (2017, 2022, 2025) and the Deutsche Bundesbank (2019, 2024). In 2024, Central Bank of Ireland joined the organisation of the conference.

Confirmed paper presentations for this year include newly commissioned work by:

  • Eric Rosengren (Visiting Scholar MIT Golub Center For Finance and Policy and former President FRB Boston) – failure of SVB oversight: reacting to incurred losses versus risks taken.
  • Viral Acharya (C.V. Starr Professor of Economics, Department of Finance at New York University Stern School of Business) - non-bank financial intermediation.
  • Catherine Schenk (Professor of Economic & Social History, St Hilda's College, Oxford University) – international finance.
  • Refet S. Gurkaynak (Professor of Economics, Bilkent University) – term premia.
  • Christina Parlour (Sylvan C. Coleman Chair of Finance and Accounting, Haas Business School, University of California at Berkley) – stablecoins.
  • Jesús Saurina (Adviser to the Governor, Banco de España) – banking regulation, the simplification agenda.
